About me

I am a postdoc (“wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter”) in philosophy at the University of Bremen at the chair of Norman Sieroka. Before starting in Bremen, I received my Ph.D. at Johns Hopkins with a thesis on “Knowledge First Epistemology” in 2022 and was a Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Ashoka University during the 22-23 academic year.

I am currently mainly interested in epistemic standards and standards more broadly. Epistemic standards evaluate information and allow us to exchange information better by creating norms and building trust between us. The development of such standards can, I think, be described using ideas from functionalist epistemology derived from Edward Craig. I have also done some work on the philosophical development of J.L. Mackie, and I am generally interested in the philosophy of religion and ideas of skepticism in ancient Eastern and Western traditions.
